BRITISH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2016 in Bournemouth!

Martin Simons and Ian Clark have been working behind the scenes to bring the British Chess Championship to BOURNEMOUTH in 2016 for the last 2/3 years.  They put together a presentation to the B&DCL AGM to announce this and told us that the last time it was in Bournemouth was 1936.  They are delighted that their hard work has been recognized.  This has now been confirmed on the British Chess Championships website as below.
"We are delighted to announce that the 2016 British Chess Championships will be held 23rd July – 6th August in the Pavilion, Bournemouth [Click here for venu map]. We look forward to working with the staff at the Pavilion and officers of the Dorset Chess Association to produce another successful Championships, as well as welcoming players to the Dorset coastal resort … – Kevin Staveley, Manager, British Chess Championships"
